We went to Solas for the first time last year and loved it.
We've just come back from Solas this year and love it even more!
Beware: if I see you anytime in the next month or two I am likely to enthuse about this wonderful wee festival north of the border.
This is roughly what it felt like:
Solas is tiny: under a thousand people.
Solas is beautiful: under mountains, in the forest.
We came away with new musical discoveries ringing in our ears, thoughts about land rights and independence buzzing round our minds and a joyful fluttering in our hearts.
I strongly recommend you consider going next year.
In the meantime there are more of our photos from this year on flickr, and you can still buy the festival guide as an iPhone app.
