Film: Something's Gotta Give

[Film leaflets]

Is it too long? Probably. But that doesn't make it a bad film and the first hour is spectacular. (I just feel it got a bit lost half-way through.)

All the talk surrounding Something's Gotta Give has focussed on the two leading roles. And while Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton have never been better, there are two supporting elements that made the film for me. First, Frances McDormand's performance - so unexpected, so fresh. Second, if there were an award for the best us of instant messaging software in a film, there'd be no need to look any further.
