At Last: Snow
The weather got really bad here overnight. I went out for a walk and to take some photos at about 11pm: a good 2" snow, and loads of people out walking, pretending they weren't as excited as their dogs. (Everyone loves snow really; it's just stuffiness that makes us pretend we don't.)
I woke up to the sounds of children sledging down my road, and somehow managed to get to work, detouring to avoid the worst of the hills. I'll be off again soon as I'd rather not slide all over the place in the dark!
Something tells me I'll have to walk from my house tomorrow if I want to get anywhere.

Pearls
Greenbelt's theme this year is Diving for Pearls. In celebration of that, here are my five most precious pearls:
- The Riverside Theatre, Woodbridge, seat D13
- A long day walking by the coast
- Photographs: old and new
- Making someone crack open a big grin

Engineering the A12
Bishopsgate. Precisely: I'm on a bus. In a traffic jam. I should be on a train. I should be home now.
PowerBook on my lap, I'm heading home. In the gutter: a Becks bottle; a bicycle chained to a lamp-post. Sodden discarded newspapers. Cigarette butts; chewing gum splattering the pavement around a bin.
