Coastwalk

Selsey → Bognor Regis

Distance: 10.2 miles
Ascent: unknown
Duration: unknown

Bill to Bognor
« Fishbourne | Goring by Sea »

Pagham Harbour is the last major body of inland water I'll come across on this stretch of coast. It's a bird sanctuary east of Selsey with a good path along the shore. Unfortunately, not being an ornithologist I can find little to say about it.

Beyond the harbour, Bognor Regis looms large. As I approached the town I was surprised to see that a large part of the west side is a series of private estates. There's no path here, and signs make it clear that strangers aren't welcome along exclusive roads.

I took to the beach and completed my walk as far as the pier.
